Dr Zeke Barnard
BBiomedSc, BBiomedSc Hons, PhD, Research Officer

Dr Barnard is the resident cell biologist at the Queensland Eye Institute. He has a PhD in Biomedical Science and has extensive experience in cultivating the surface cells of the cornea. Dr Barnard has participated in the production and analysis of clinically applied corneal tissue grafts grown from adult stem cells and is continuing this work with the Prevent Blindness Foundation. He is also involved in testing the interaction of natural and synthetic polymers with the surface cells of the cornea.
