The support we receive through the fundraising efforts of individuals, schools, organisations and businesses is vital to the ongoing delivery of our medical research, support services and clinical care for Queenslanders who are blind or vision impaired.
With no government funding the Queensland Eye Institute relies on support from all of these people and groups and everyone has a different idea of how they can help out. It’s not just about the donations either; your help in spreading the word about the work of the Queensland Eye Institute and the services we provide is just as important and appreciated.

When your registration is received, a member of the fundraising team will contact you to discuss your fundraising activity and provide you with an authority to fundraise. There is government legislation that requires people raising money to hold a Letter of Authorisation issued by the organisation they are helping. This applies to individuals, groups, workplaces or organisations. The Queensland Eye Institute can issue these letters once we approve your event or activity.
