Dr Zainuddin is a Polymer Chemist and has a primary research interest in natural and synthetic polymers for biomedical applications. He joined QEI in December 2005 working with Professor Chirila. He holds a posisition of an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the School of Medicine and a Visiting Scientist with the Centre for Magnetic Resonance at the University of Queensland, Australia. He was a Mid-Career Researcher for few years in BATAN (Indonesia) to develop hydrogel wound dressings and reverse osmosis membranes utilizing radiation techniques.
