Dr Mark Woolf

Dr Mark Woolf is a Visiting Scientist at The Queensland Eye Institute and lecturer in the School of Life Sciences at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) where he teaches human anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. He is also a Research Scientist within the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety - Queensland (CARRS-Q) QUT and a member of the Institute for Health and Biological Innovation (IHBI) QUT.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences from the University of Newcastle (NSW) and a PhD in visual psychophysics from the Queensland University of Technology.
Dr Woolf has been extensively involved in vision and driving research at QUT for a number of years. During this time he has worked on projects focusing on the relationship between ocular disease and driving performance. He is currently involved in research projects investigating the molecular basis of different ocular disease processes (specifically pterygium development) through his work at the Queensland Eye Institute and IHBI.
Dr Woolf is an Associate Fellow of the Australasian College of Road Safety and a Member of the Australian Institute of Biology.
