Established in 2005 with the generous support of the Sylvia and Charles Viertel Charitable Foundation, The Queensland Eye Institute is Queensland's only academic eye institute.
The Queensland Eye Institute (QEI) is a major research, academic and clinical facility that brings together the greatest minds, the latest technology and a commitment to preventing blindness and preserving sight.
It is only through the generous support of the community that The Queensland Eye Institute is able to continue our sight-saving work. The ongoing funding for the Institute is provided wholly by the Prevent Blindness Foundation.
